The Peak Colorado is a free daily conditions platform covering Summit County, Eagle County, and Park County, Colorado. Every morning at 6 AM, The Peak publishes 0-10 scores for fly fishing, snow and ski conditions, hiking, and road conditions across the region. Fly fishing scores are derived from real-time USGS stream flow data on the Blue River near Silverthorne, the Arkansas River near Buena Vista, and the South Platte near Eleven Mile Canyon — with specific fly pattern recommendations based on current hatch activity and flow levels. Snow scores incorporate NOAA snowpack data, overnight accumulation, and wind hold alerts for above-treeline terrain. Subscribers receive free morning text or push notifications with their score of choice before heading out. Conditions are scored across six outdoor categories and updated daily, making The Peak the only source consolidating real-time environmental data into a single actionable number for Colorado's high country.
